On its 30th anniversary, the LGC Pension Insight Symposium will serve as a crucial platform for practitioners within the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) pools and funds to share insights and educate the fund manager community about their unique challenges and investment requirements. This event plays a vital role in fostering collaboration and enhancing understanding between the LGPS pools and funds and the asset manager community, ultimately facilitating more effective and informed working relationships within the investment landscape.

Described as the event to take the temperature of the LGPS, new for this year are sessions where you’ll walk in the shoes of fund and pool officers, gain insight on the practicalities of investing in levelling up and learn whether AI is a game changer for the investment world or a damp squib.   We are also introducing a delegate rate for next generation attendees to encourage new entrants to the asset management sector to attend.

With a protected ratio of 60% fund managers to 40% LGPS officers, this important platform provides a friendly and relaxed environment to debate investment strategies as well as meet and network with key decision makers.

The programme for this must-attend event will feature expert speakers from LGPS pools and funds and independent advisers with over 8 hours’ dedicated time allocated for formal and informal networking.

The primary goal of the symposium is to discuss current and future trends in investment, the increased regulatory environment and to provide comprehensive insight into the challenges facing the LGPS.
