Robert is a pensions professional with extensive experience both as an executive and non-executive within central and local government. With senior roles within Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Defence he also brings significant local government pensions experience as the immediate past CEO of the £8bn London Pension Fund Authority.

He has been a shareholder NED on the LPP Pool and is a regular contributor at LGPS events, conferences and Symposiums, largely on ESG, Governance and real asset infrastructure investing. He has served on the PLSA Local Government committee and the CIPFA, now SAB, Compliance and Reporting Committee. He is also an Accredited Professional Trustee with a real passion for good member outcomes and is on the Board of the Pensions Ombudsman. He is also a Trustee of the Creative Pensions Trust Mastertrust, a Governor of the Pensions Policy Institute and an Advisory Board member of the Clean Growth Fund, a UK Venture Capital business.
